Job description
Summary:
- Conduct and provide medical pre-screening support services to determine applicant’s medical history complexity and determine disposition level into one of three pre-screen categories
- Conduct research on the applicant’s background information to ensure accession standard qualifications
- Categorize applicant’s history and communicate results to appropriate stakeholders
- Provide feedback to appropriate stakeholders on the status of applicant’s pre-screen process, to include the need for additional documentation or corrections to the applicant’s packet
- Possess a general knowledge of medical terminology and training
- Familiarization and understanding of DoDI 6130.03 and AR 40-501 accession standard qualifications
- Computer literate and have demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Teams and Adobe
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
- Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and highly organized
- Punctual attendance and able to work a full 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week
- Must be able to meet deliverable requirements daily/weekly/monthly
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active Medical Assistant Certification or higher level of medical qualification issued by a state or territory of the United States.
- Must be able to maintain MA Certification or higher level of medical qualification issued by a state or territory of the United States
- Minimum one (1) or more years' experience with GENISIS and CITRIX
- Minimum of three (3) or more years of work experience in a healthcare setting
