As Medical Assistant, you would work with the Physician or Mid-Level Provider to assist with procedures and patient care, by fulfilling all State and Federal laws and Company policies.


Typical Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare treatment rooms for procedures
  • Provide assistance to the physician or physician assistant during injection procedures
  • Document per dictation from physician and physician assistants for consultations
  • Assist with all consultations and procedures
  • Complete EMR documentation for all injection procedures
  • Manage inventory of all medications and clinical supplies as needed
  • Prepare injection kits
  • Ensure that treatment rooms are clean and adequately prepared for each day’s patient care schedule
  • Provide explanation and education to patients about procedures and appropriate after care as instructed by Physician or PA
  • Follow all infection control policies
  • Maintain and document daily statistics


Medical Assistant Educational Requirements:

  • Years of experience: 2+ years preferred
  • Medical assisting certification preferred
  • CPR certification preferred
  • Knowledge of billing practices preferred


Position/Role Requirements:

  • Record vitals and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants
  • Ability to perform calmly under pressure and pay close attention to detail
  • Maintain a safe and effective environment
  • Excellent communication skills with patients and coworkers
  • Maintain composure during emergency situations
  • Comprehensive knowledge in the healthcare field and infection control practices
  • Excellent skills in patient interactions and customer service
  • Experience of electronic medical records preferred
  • Ability to operate a computer and use Microsoft Office applications especially Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
