About The Role
Firstpoint Healthcare are currently recruiting Mental Health Care Assistants to work with the NHS in the Preston area, working in both male and female mental health secure wards, as well as rehabilitation units and male secure brain injury wards. You'll supporting patients who are suffering from depression, anxiety, multiple personality disorder, eating disorders, dementia and PTSD.
You role will include providing and receiving informative handovers, performing 1:1 eye sight observations, note taking, supporting patients with their every needs, accompanying patients to hospital appointments and liaising with mental health nurses and doctors on the ward.
It is entirely your decision how many shifts you pick up each week and on which day – you are in control of your own rota. You are able to work at one service or you are able to work at several – the decision is always yours.
We offer an hourly rate of up to £18.49 per hour based on shift pattern and whether you are PAYE / Umbrella. We operate a weekly payroll service so this allows you to get paid every Friday! (Get that Friday feeling every Friday!)
Applicants must have 6 months care experience in the last 2 years, and be able to provide evidence of their MMR vaccination. Applicant without relevant experience will not be considered for the role. Applicants must also be either PMVA or MAPA trained within the last 12 months & be able to provide a certificate of this training.
