Shift: Day
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Summary:
Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Conducts intake on patients, vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and completes patient health history in the electronic medical record. Displays good decision making skills and has knowledge of anatomy and proficient in medical terminology. Must be able to multi task. May be required to draw and collect blood samples for patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, might be exposed to bodily fluids during patient care. Must be friendly, professional, and able to keep a fast pace during clinic hours.
Other information:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE: Minimum one year work experience, Preferably in health care clinic setting. Ability to respond appropriately to instructions.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, BONDING: American Heart Association, BLS, Current Medical Assistant Certificate.
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: May be exposed to a variety of healthcare settings, including clinical, office or maintenance environments
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
