Job description

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Team. We have a dynamic, friendly work environment where patient care is of the utmost importance. Our Medical Assistants function as vital member of our team who contributes to the success of the practice by demonstrating patient focus, effective communication, professionalism, and teamwork.

Candidates must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate should have clinical experience, good attendance record, attention to detail, be self-motivated, and stable job history with longevity in previous job positions.

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive:

Serve as a patient advocate during patient exams and treatment.
Recording medical history and confirming the purpose of the visit.
Ensure proper consent forms are obtained prior to preparing the patient for treatment.
Prepares patients for examination.
Help Physicians/ PA’s examine and treat patients, handing them instruments and materials or performing such tasks as giving injections and removing sutures.
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Practice teamwork, service, and respect for coworkers and patients.
Maintain accurate patient electronic charts.
Patient Education.
Returning patient phone calls.
Under provider direction, authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
Collecting, documenting, and delivering lab specimens.

Medical Assistant/ Nurse Skills and Qualifications:

Ability to effectively communicate with staff and patients.
Creating a Safe, Effective Environment.
Organization.
Possess a strong work ethic and high level of professionalism.
Confidentiality.
Maintain a positive, caring attitude towards patients.
