New-to-District Classified employees may be eligible to receive credit for up to two years’ worth of credit for movement (steps) on the Classified Salary Schedule based on relevant prior work experience. Please complete the top portion of this form and provide it to your previous employer for completion. To qualify, newly hired employees must provide this form, completed by your former employer(s), to Human Resources no later than the date of their fingerprinting and appointment.
Index: 01/K/02 ($27.59/hour) to 01/K/04 ($29.84/hour) depending on verified experience for NEW to District Employees
Transferring employees or former District employees hired into this role will be placed on the "K" letter grade of the Classified Salary Schedule, but the initial step placement will vary based on a variety of factors.

For positions that qualify, the District offers a benefit package that is valued at more than $10,000 annually. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERSI) and are provided to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract.

Acceptable Experience & Training
A portfolio or examples of past work demonstrating the knowledge, skills and abilities reflected in the job posting;- Professional references or testimonials from previous clients or employers;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in digital marketing, advertising, or public relations;
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
The Digital Media Specialist is responsible for the production and editing of short video projects with a focus on storytelling and communicating Boise School District’s key messages to external and internal audiences. This position will be responsible for ensuring video and other content is posted on multi-channel digital platforms, including the District’s social media platforms, to ensure maximum reach through a strategic communications plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Edit and create post-production videos that engage Boise School District’s students, families and patrons to become more informed about our schools, staff and the opportunities for all students;- Collaborate with district leadership on the digital content strategy (social media, website, email, etc.) for the district, its schools and students;
- Provide guidelines and/or training for students and staff on the best practices for creating compelling social media content;
- Analyze data and metrics to measure the success of campaigns and provide data-informed recommendations;
- Other duties as assigned.
