  • Transferring employees or former District employees hired into this role will be placed on the "K" letter grade of the Classified Salary Schedule, but the initial step placement will vary based on a variety of factors.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A portfolio or examples of past work demonstrating the knowledge, skills and abilities reflected in the job posting;

  • Professional references or testimonials from previous clients or employers;

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in digital marketing, advertising, or public relations;

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Digital Media Specialist is responsible for the production and editing of short video projects with a focus on storytelling and communicating Boise School District’s key messages to external and internal audiences. This position will be responsible for ensuring video and other content is posted on multi-channel digital platforms, including the District’s social media platforms, to ensure maximum reach through a strategic communications plan.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Edit and create post-production videos that engage Boise School District’s students, families and patrons to become more informed about our schools, staff and the opportunities for all students;

  • Collaborate with district leadership on the digital content strategy (social media, website, email, etc.) for the district, its schools and students;

  • Provide guidelines and/or training for students and staff on the best practices for creating compelling social media content;

  • Analyze data and metrics to measure the success of campaigns and provide data-informed recommendations;

  • Other duties as assigned.
