Content Creator & Media Planner

We are looking with someone with proven ability to concept, direct, organise shoots and manage edits, for high quality & lo-fi content for our digital channels. The ideal candidate will have ample experience in managing content creation calendars and working with tight deadline within a DTC ecommerce clothing brand.

They should have a demonstrable passion for short form content for socials, but with the ability to visualise and create longer form content if necessary. Ideally this person is capable of solely managing on smaller shoots - setting up lights, mics, etc, as well as being able to lead / collaborate with a larger team on bigger projects. We're looking for a creative and social media savvy content creator, to help create regular content to help support out product drops and increase our output for social platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

Job Description

  • Management of shoot calendar and all content creation critical path.
  • Create channel-specific content for Gym King social channels with a focus high Impact Video Content’ across TikTok, Instagram & YouTube shorts.
  • Identify emerging trends and ensure we’re reacting to these to help drive the growth of the social accounts.
  • Collaborate with the creative & marketing team to ensure our campaign and social-specific shoots capture social-first content and best support our trading strategy.
  • Receiving image and video briefs from different departments across the business and concepting video ideas & treatments that deliver against the objectives.
  • Concept original content ideas using new techniques to present products in a creative way that inspire our audiences to purchase.
  • Analyse the results of content in collaboration with the wider team and feed into weekly, monthly and campaign reports.
  • Collaborate with social team to build social trend reports, focusing on industry and social trends, tech updates, key competitors and visual references for social content.
  • Manage influencer & ambassador content briefs & direction to ensure our output best supports our marketing focus.
  • Work with external agencies to create key trading content briefs to maximise and support sale periods throughout the year ensuring they’ve been thought about from a full channel mix approach.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role is essential; evidence of delivering branded content, social campaigns and production (motion and stills), from concept to delivery.
  • A deep understanding and enthusiasm for social media.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Working hours: Due to the nature of this role, the hours will be full time (37.5 hours per week) Monday-Friday, although a flexible approach is required at times to meet the needs of the role.

Location: This role is based at Unit 6 Temple Point, Bullerthorpe Lane, Colton, Leeds LS15 9JL. 2 minutes off the M1 J46. There will be a requirement to travel as part of this role.
