Manufacturing Operations Manager

We are looking to fill this new, full-time role with immediate effect.
About the company
AlubendUK offer manufacturing and design services to customers across the world.
We have the most advanced CNC bending machinery and the largest range of machining centres of any UK bending company and provide aluminium bending, aluminium machining (3, 4 and 5 axis) as well as MIG, TIG and laser welding. We also offer inhouse design services and develop inhouse tooling and machine components to customise our machinery and expand our offerings.

Overview of the key responsibilities and duties of the role:
· Provide leadership to a team of approximately 15 in a busy manufacturing environment
· Manage the day-to-day operations of the company’s manufacturing facilities
· Maintain production schedules
· Manage lead times in consideration of capacity and assessing workload, prioritising and allocating resources as required
· Make important planning and strategy decisions
· Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures
· Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale
· Establish a training and development programme to suit the individual requirements of each team member reporting to you
· Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed
· Monitor compliance with laws and regulations
· Ensure a safety-first culture operates across the site and ensure that all company procedures and statutory requirements are fully adhered to
· Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company
· Build alliances and partnerships with other organisations
· Support worker communication with the management team
· Oversee the supply chain for materials needed
· Ensure quality of finished product inventory
Our ideal candidate will have:
· Leadership experience and strong management skills
· Understanding of the manufacturing process and systems
· A background in the aluminium fabrication, extrusion, or machining industry
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Effective time management
· Excellent communications skills
· A naturally positive can-do attitude
