Mechanical Process Operator
Permanent. Location: Slough
Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off pattern (2 day, 2 nights, 4 off) 12 hour shifts
Salary: From £36,643 - £43,257 (Base salary + Shift Allowances) - Depending on experience
Plus £2,000 Welcome Bonus
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Mars Wrigley factory in Slough. We are seeking mechanically minded individuals who hold a passion for operations and maintenance! Whether your history is repairs and maintenance of ships, cars, tanks, lifts, generators, or similar mechanical industries, your hands on mechanical experience is key!

As a Mechanical Process Operator you will be responsible for the day to day operations and first line repairs of our sweet making technology. You will be making operational decisions at line level to achieve targets, dealing with mechanical breakdowns, and coordinating a team of Operators and Temporary Associates as required.
What are we looking for?
· Educated to GCSE level
· Ideally hold a NVQ or an apprenticeship with a mechanical bias
· Continuous Improvement mindset, always looking to improve efficiency and minimise downtime
· Hands on experience of mechanical systems - this can be from any environment such as ATMs, Fruit Machines, Air Conditioning equipment, Cars, Conveyor Systems, Mining Equipment or Helicopters. Anything, as long as you are mechanically minded and able to dissemble, fault find and re-assemble machinery.
· Experience of leading or supervising a small team would be beneficial
What would be your key responsibilities?
· Coordinate a small team of operators and temporary associates to achieve line targets.
· Identify and repair mechanical breakdowns on machinery such as pumps, conveyors, bearings and gearboxes.
· Monitor our sweet making technology to ensure we are producing product at a standard our consumers expect
· Become and expert sweet maker and share your knowledge with others
