Job description
Hotel room attendants ensure that hotel rooms are clean, tidy and inviting to guests, by ensuring that the guest rooms and public areas are clean and properly presented. All aspects of cleaning are covered.
This includes: changing bed linen, making beds, vacuuming floors and replenishing stocks of guest supplies such as shampoo/soap etc and ensuring the room is fully sanitized to welcome the next Guest.
Responsible to maintain a level of cleanliness in the housekeeping area and wash, dry and fold all linens in the laundry room. The position will require performing housekeeping duties, as needed.
Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests. Perform rotation cleaning duties as required.
Full Time - 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 and usual shift start times between 8am - 4pm. Contracted at 32+ hours with the intention of working 40 hours per week.
Rota done on a weekly basis - Monday - Sunday.
Candidate must be flexible to work weekends - this is a requirement.
This does not mean you will be working every weekend, weekends off are done on a rotating basis.
Holiday entitlement included. 28 Days for Full Time Hours, as accrued
Hotel closure period over Christmas & New Year of up to 10 days usually.
Pay increase within the first 3 months once trained.
