Description & Requirements
To work as part of a multi-disciplined shift team and to maintain all assets within the Factory- working closely with the Shift Team Leaders and Technicians to provide a quick response to line breakdowns.
Driving situational support & improvements using tools such as SIC boards- 5 WHY & SOC documents- gathering shift report data for continuity across shift handovers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Mechanical maintenance duties to support production
- Will safely carry out work on equipment across the factory.
- Must be pro active in line improvements from conception to completion.
- Complete duty rounds asset care- PMs and CBM as required.
- Support asset care / OEE process.
- Support breakdown investigations using 5Why’s and 5W&1H techniques.
- Support all Department KPI’s to achieve daily metrics
- Express a willingness to embrace safety- Continuous Improvement- Initiatives- and activities
Personal Attributes:
- Good communication skills to ensure quality handovers
- Strong problem-solving skills with the tenacity and resilience to ensure new initiatives are implemented
- Must be flexible and possess the ability to work in teams.
- Committed to the support of proactive management of all departments KPI’s.
- Resilience to ensure problems are followed through to the identification and resolution of route cause with a thorough close out.
- Possess a flexible and enthusiastic outlook
- Must possess Good Fault finding skills
- A Team Player
- Proactive in approach to all aspects of work
Education & Experience:
- Candidates must be Time Served Mechanical or Multi-skilled (Mechanical Bias) Maintenance Engineer
- Previous experience in the Packaging/Food/FMCG/Canmaking equipment is preferable
