Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health Provider Collaborative (BSOL MHPC) is a partnership between Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (BSMHFT), Birmingham Women’s & Children’s NHS Foundation Trust (BWC) and the third sector represented by the VCFSE Collective.
The BSOL MHPC formally went live on the 1stApril 2023 and BSMHFT became the Lead Provider for the new collaborative, taking on the delegated commissioning and contracting responsibilities under a service integrator arrangement with Birmingham & Solihull Integrated Care Board. This includes the responsibility for all age mental health across Birmingham & Solihull.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Head of Commissioning Finance and the Deputy Director of Commissioning & Transformation in providing a comprehensive, efficient, timely and professional financial management and business support service to the BSOL Mental Health Provider Collaborative.
The post holder will create monthly income and expenditure budget statements allowing projections, monitoring, and reporting of variances as well as cost analysis for benchmarking purposes.
In addition, the post holder will provide support to the Head of Commissioning Finance on issues associated with management accounting within the department and assist in the preparation of annual and monthly budgets, suggesting and supporting the preparation of service developments, business case plans and the medium-term business planning process.
The post holder will also be responsible for monitoring the Provider Collaborative financial flows and producing monthly cashflow reconciliations.
