Kronospan has exciting opportunities for Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to join our rapidly growing engineering team based in Chirk, North Wales.

At Kronospan we pride ourselves on delivering “Wood Perfected” and have invested in innovation since 1897 and no more so than now. Over the last three years we have invested £300m at our production facility in Chirk, North Wales and we have an additional £200m investment planned for the next couple of years.

As a result we are seeking Mechanical Maintenance Technicians who can add real value to the Engineering team and help us achieve our goal of becoming the most technically advanced panel board production facility in the world.

These are full time, permanent positions offering earning up to £48,000+ including shift allowance, overtime & bonus.

Kronospan can also offer Relocation Assistance (up to £8000) along with Home Office Employer Sponsorship and Financial Support towards VISA applications.

Day Mechanical Technician Hours – 08.00 - 16.30 (5 days Monday to Friday) or you can choose to work 07.00 – 17.00 (4 days between Monday to Friday)
Shift Mechanical Technician Hours - Full Continental 4 on 4 off (06.00 - 18.00 & 18.00 - 06.00)

The role:

• Providing front line maintenance support to a specific area of our industry leading plant
• Drive continuous improvement projects
• Bring fresh ideas – could we be doing this better?
• Heavy involvement in planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance

The candidate:

• Experienced in manufacturing maintenance
• You will be educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• A ‘Hands-on' individual, you will also positive, with a ‘can-do' approach to your work
