Job description
Duties:
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Conduct simulations and analysis using Simulink, FEA, and other engineering tools to evaluate the performance and reliability of mechanical designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that mechanical designs meet project requirements and specifications.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Oversee the fabrication and assembly of mechanical components, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
- Perform testing and validation of mechanical systems, analyzing data and making design improvements as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues or failures that arise during the development or operation of systems.
- Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks for 2D and 3D modeling.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, including mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, and fluid dynamics.
- Experience with simulation software such as Simulink for system design and analysis.
- Familiarity with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools for structural analysis.
- Proficiency in MATLAB for data analysis, modeling, and algorithm development.
- Knowledge of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining processes for fabricating mechanical components.
- Experience with LabView for data acquisition and control systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and propose effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly.
