Responsibilities & Roles of the job include
- Design and develop mechanical systems for various projects. This includes heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, plumbing systems, and fire protection systems.
- Create detailed designs, calculating load requirements, selecting equipment, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Effectively collaborate with other teams, such as electrical engineers and architects, to integrate mechanical systems into overall building designs.
- Your role also involves conducting feasibility studies, performing energy analysis, and optimising system performance for energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Review and interpret project specifications, prepare technical reports, and provide guidance to junior engineers in the team.
- Participate in project meetings, both internally and with clients, to discuss design progress and address any issues or challenges.
- Work closely with contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth implementation of the design and resolve any on-site issues that may arise.
- As a senior engineer, you will provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule. You will also stay updated with industry advancements and regulations, and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
- Overall, your role as a senior mechanical design engineer for this consultancy is to lead and execute mechanical design projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and compliant systems that meet the specific needs of clients.
