IMEG Corp. is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Graduate - Designer 1 in our
Rock Island, IL office
. As a Mechanical Engineering Graduate – Designer 1, you will be responsible for mechanical design on projects of various sizes and complexities. This role will also perform calculations, system design, equipment selections, reports, progress submittals and BIM instructions to assure project completeness and accuracy on time, within monetary budget, and in accordance with IMEG design standards.
Some key duties and responsibilities include:
- Design mechanical systems for commercial buildings
- Coordinate, document and schedule design projects
- Assist Senior Mechanical Engineer with mechanical design efforts
- Perform services as required by the contract services agreement
- Build, maintain and develop client relationships
Key skills and abilities needed for the position are:
- Precision in production of technical plans and drawings
- Knowledge and understanding of fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics
- Skill in the use of Microsoft programs, CAD, and BIM programs
- Strong ability to communicate clearly both orally and written
Education and experience requirements are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Mechanical building systems design and/or knowledge of construction techniques a plus
