Job description
You have a passion and a keen eye for detail. You will be working closely with other Mechanical Engineers, Electronics Engineers and Instrumentation Technicians, creating 2D and 3D CAD models for a wide range of applications including automotive, transport, power generation, military, naval, industrial machinery.
You will be required to liaise with customers to establish a design specification and bring it to fruition. You will have the capability to drive a project from inception through to completion, including design, 2D and 3D modelling, manufacturing drawings, installation, calibration, acquiring data, reporting, and analysis.
Our customers are based around the globe, and ideally, you would be available for occasional travel for on-site installation and troubleshooting work.
Essential Skills & Experience.
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or equivalent field.
· Excellent command of at least one CAD program (ideally Autodesk Inventor, but not limited to).
· Strong understanding of tolerances and manufacturability of party.
· Excellent understand of torque, loading, stress, fatigue, and strain.
Desirable Skills & Experience
· Strong experience with the use of strain gauges and/or instrumentation
· Strong understanding of noise, vibration, and/or resonance
· Knowledge/experience of ultrasonic sensors design
You are talented, passionate and hard-working, with great intuition for real-world problem solving and lateral thinking. You will strive for excellent team-working abilities: good personal presentation and communication skills for liaising with clients.
