Hours: 37 Hours a week, 2 shift system covering 06:00 to 20:00 Mon-Fri
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Stores Road Depot, Derby
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work in a team or on their own initiative. A full HGV licence with CPC card would be desirable but training can be provided to a successful candidate. You must also have City and Guilds Level 1,2 and 3 or equivalent NVQ Standard in Motor Mechanics / LGV repair.
Knowledge of the repair and maintenance and Diagnostics of large commercial vehicles and Light Commercial Vehicle, including electrical and hydraulic systems is an essential requirement. The candidate should be experienced in Mig welding and have some knowledge of fabrication work. This is a good opportunity for the successful applicant to further their knowledge on a varied fleet of vehicles. You must be willing to go on a callout standby rota covering out of hours breakdowns with a standard call out fee and overtime pay for every call out received.
The successful applicant will receive 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays on top. After 5 years’ service that will increase to 32 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Bank holidays If worked are paid at triple time or double time and a day in lieu.
