**IMMEDIATE START REQUIRED - STARTING 13TH FEBRUARY**
PREVIOUS CHEF / COOKING EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL!
Karen's Diner is coming to Newport, South Wales and we're looking for Chefs / Cooks to join our kitchen to produce a variety of dishes (mainly quality burgers), whilst working within a fun and exciting environment. Prior experience in a restaurant kitchen will be advantageous, as will an extensive knowledge of local food ingredients. The successful candidate will have a historical knowledge of working within a fast-paced environment, an appreciation for good quality food, and the ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Manage kitchen inventory and supplies.
- Use good judgement when dealing with customers, suppliers and other employees.
- Gather and document customer information.
- Communicate with customers verbally and in writing.
- Prepare and cook food according to customers' preferences (whilst considering allergies).
- Prepare food required for the day in advance of restaurant opening, ensuring sufficient resources are available for the restaurants operation.
- Wash up and keep the kitchen area clean and tidy at all times.
- Dispose of food appropriately (including use by dated foods).
- Manage stock inventories, making recommendation and stock orders to the Head Chef.
- Follow the company brand, image and well-known rude service delivery.

Salary: £9.50-£12.50 per hour
