CARBASE – Mechanics Wanted:

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 p/a

Contract: Full-time and Permanent

Carbase is a family-owned business that over the last 20 years has grown into the largest, independent pre-owned dealership in the South West.

We’re now looking for skilled Mechanics to join us at our Avonmouth Preparation Centre, to prep, repair and fix our cars before they head to the Sales teams and ultimately to our customers.

Here you’ll carry out servicing, engine rebuilds and repairs on all kinds of car makes and models. There’s plenty of overtime available and for skilled hands MOT tester courses we can develop you in your trade as we continue to grow and build.

What you’ll be doing:

• You’ll be carrying out fault diagnosis, on engines, brakes, transmissions, fuel systems etc
• Performing servicing, and repairs on all makes and models of cars
• Rebuilding engines and refurbing parts
• Working with our parts team and pre-delivery techs to keep the flow of vehicles moving
• Identify potential hazards and monitor the condition of tools and machinery
• Adhere to high standards of health and safety

What you’ll need:

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance – LVL 3 desirable and commands higher wage
• A full UK driving licence
• Be able to work to deadlines and maintain a consistent level of performance
• And have a good standard of fitness to carry out the demands of the role
