Accounts Receivable/Accounting Administrator
Osprey Electric is a mid-sized electrical company on Vancouver Island. We are the VICA Employer of the Year for 2023. We are looking to hire a part time AR and Accounting Administrator. For this position we are seeking a friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable, and long-term candidate who appreciates a fast-paced work environment. This position would be ideal for an entry level accounting person with experience in accounts receivable and collections. This is a part time position 3-4 days per week in office.
A successful candidate should have a sense of humour, be a fast learner and having the following skills would be great:
- Strong computer skills.
- Intermediate skills in MS excel, office, word, and outlook.
- Bank and account reconciliations.
- Basic accounting/bookkeeping experience.
- Posting journal entries.
- Preparing and sending invoices to clients.
- Ensure all receivables are up to date and under 60 days.
- Handle incoming and outgoing AR related phone calls.
- Assist in basic administrative duties.
- Great phone conversation skills and able to build client relationships.
- Basic experience of accounting software. We use Spectrum.
- Attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Must love dogs.
- Able to take instructions/direction and feel comfortable asking questions.
