Job description

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional and inspiring Teacher of Maths who is passionate about learning and teaching in Mathematics at GCSE and Functional skills level.

Your duties

We are committed to the delivery of a consistent and high quality learning experience for our students.

Teachers teach a range of students to develop the Maths skills and qualifications, liaise closely with curriculum teams to ensure that student progress is effective and timely and counsel students and maintain discipline as required. Staff are involved in the recruitment of students including attendance at Shows and Careers Conventions and Open events at the College and contribute and demonstrate fully and at all times the positive promotion and role modelling of the College core values.

Person specification

The successful candidate will have a minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent), hold or be willing to work towards and achieve, a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education) or equivalent, along with commitment to, and evidence of, CPD. To hold Assessor / Verifier Qualifications would also be an advantage but is not essential.
