This is a customer service job with a difference. You’ll be working outside in the wonderful city that is London greeting people from all over the world and making sure they have an unforgettable experience with Uber Boat by Thames Clippers.
Working on any one of the piers along the Thames from Barking to Putney, you will welcome all members of the public; selling them the right ticket and assisting them with their journey with us on our boats.
We’re looking for people who love working and engaging with people and making their experiences as memorable as possible.
We will give you full training on our varied ticket types and you will be comfortable approaching customers and selling them the appropriate ticket.
You will be a great communicator, friendly and approachable and always wanting to deliver the best customer service possible.
And, you won’t mind working outdoors or being on your feet all day and will thrive in a busy environment, maintaining empathy even when it gets really busy.
We have 3 types of roles we’re looking for people to fill:
- Full time, 42 hours per week, 4 on 2 off, Monday to Sunday.
- Part time, 31.5 hours per week, 3 on 3 off, Monday to Sunday.
- Part time, 18 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday.
When: We’re holding assessment centres in February and March and looking for people to be able to start work with us March and April 2023 at one of our company inductions. These are a great way to get to know other new starters and find out everything you need to know about how we work.
Where: You’ll be based on anyone of our piers from Barking to Putney. We’ll provide you with a uniform to protect against the British weather!

Full time 42 hours a week - £24,134.00 plus benefits. Increasing to £26,099.00 in April. Monday to Sunday, shift work.
Part time 31.5 hours a week - £18, 100.00 plus benefits. Increasing to £19,575.00 in April. Monday to Sunday, shift work.
Part time 18 hours a week - £10,343.00 plus benefits. Increasing to £11,186.00 in April. Saturday and Sunday work.
