18.75 Hours per week (Fixed Term 9 Months)
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and confident support worker to join our team and contribute to the delivery of an established, high-quality public health service within maternity.
The post holder will provide personalised stop smoking support alongside health promotion. The post holder will require excellent communication skills and the ability to positively motivate families in obtaining better health for themselves and their families.
The post holder will be expected to take a public health and woman centred approach to improve health and tackle inequalities.
The post holder will work alongside a team of midwives, stop smoking services, health visiting and community staff.
The role will deliver the ambition of the NHS Long Term plan by reducing smoking in pregnancy alongside the wider public health agenda in maternity.
The role will involve having key health promotion conversations around mental health and infant feeding.

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the New and Aspiring leaders programme, and the Foundation Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. After you complete this one and a half day of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
