What’s the role?
This opportunity allows you to carry out a role/assignments as a Graduate Materials Scientist with all the development opportunities and perks you'd expect from a top-class graduate programme.
This role is all driven by fundamental science and is a fantastic opportunity for someone that has an interest in product development and materials science to design materials and processes that enable us to manufacture our high specification products at Victrex.
This pathway will enable you to apply the skills and know-how from your studies to solve ‘real world’ challenges in polymer development and production. By understanding materials at a molecular level, we are able to develop the right products to meet market needs, through a combination of chemistry, polymer science and materials science. This area of R&D involves working and collaborating on projects from the laboratory all the way through to production plant scale.

Is this you?
You will have recently graduated with a bachelor’s or higher degree in polymer science or materials science with experience of practical experimentation in an academic and/or industrial environment. Our Graduate Development Programme has been designed to flex to your specific development needs. Therefore, we are also interested in hearing from candidates who may have graduated in recent years and have 1-3 years’ experience but fancy a role or career change.
What's on offer?
With starting salaries of £33,500 - £35,500, plus sign-on and performance related bonuses associated with this fantastic opportunity, we offer a very competitive package for joiners of our Graduate Development Programme.
We offer support with relocation, flexible working, private medical insurance and give employees 29 days annual leave per annum + bank holidays with the option of purchasing up to 2 additional weeks leave too.
