Materials Scientist (chemist / engineer) R&D £c28-35k Base + Bonus

A materials scientist, materials engineer or materials chemist with an interest in sustainable materials you are urgently required within a global R&D product development area as part of the materials teams in the the development of novel sustainable materials. As a materials scientist you will leverage technical expertise in materials science to support completion technology blocks to support the delivery of the commercial vision of a product in the sustainable materials within the R&D pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in identification and evaluation of novel materials
- Completion of assigned Technology Block project activities.
- Completion of project activities in accordance with R&D innovation processes.
- Support the identification of opportunity areas within the R&D Technology Group.
- Execution of Design of Experiments
- Execution of Lab based material measurements
- Non-woven information
Qualifications and Experience
· A degree e.g., materials science, materials chemistry or other science background materials etc
· Ability to deliver against a portfolio of tasks within defined timescales
· Knowledge or experience of non-woven materials desirable
· Materials Science background experience from a commercial setting or academia or university project
· Any experience on sustainable materials
· Excellent presentation and communication skills
· Able to develop both individual and team technical capabilities
· Proficiency on MS Excel and PowerPoint
