Job description
The main role is to work with the Hospital’s departments to order clinical and non clinical products from NHS Supply Chain. This involves visiting wards and departments to assess stock levels using a handheld computer, downloading the information onto a desktop and preparing and sending the information to NHS Supply Chain. Also to support the work of all sections of the Receipts and Distribution department.
Included in the skills to fulfill the role are:
· Practical knowledge of computer work including Excel, Word, the Web
· Commitment to Customer Care via email, face to face and on the telephone
· A positive attitude in achieving deadlines and providing a quality service, both as a valued member of the team and working alone
· Mobility to work in a warehouse environment
Working 37.5 hours per week over five days, Monday to Friday, between 6.00 am – 5.00 pm
