The role

As a Material Planner you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will conduct Material Planning activity on Fleet Engineering tasks safely, on time, to specification and within an agreed budget.

Day to day, you’ll work closely with our client, the MOD in working through and identifying the requirements needed to help get quotes and source items. Ensuring close liaison with internal and external stakeholders throughout to help through the full lifecycle, managing these requirements and tasks set in a professional and thorough way throughout.

Key Duties Include:

• Assist the Lead Material Planner in maximising the utilisation and the efficiency of the Section
• Ensuring that all tasks are carried out in accordance with the Company’s cost, time and quality requirements
• Implementation of the Company Safety, Quality and Environmental policies in the Change Preparation area of the business ensuring that assessments of risks are carried out which lead to safe working attitudes and practices
• Successful conduct of Material Planning activities

This role is a full time and permanent position, you’ll be working a thirty-seven-hour week and after an initial period of travelling onto site to get familiar with your team and the role, working from home (WFH) options are encouraged.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC (ITAR) security clearance level for this role.
