The Role
The Applications Team Lead is responsible for a team of technical specialists who collectively deliver, operate and maintain a diverse portfolio of applications in service at Carnival UK. These applications exist across our fleet, our local datacentre, and in the Cloud. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading and taking ownership of specific activities including improvement initiatives, maintenance activities and support activities, including incident and problem resolution
- Overseeing technical change, including software and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure etc)
- Overseeing, prioritising and managing workstreams and queues of work, providing great communication at all times
- Ensuring applications are compliant and secure
Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK08 and is offered on a full time, permanent position, with at least two days based in our Southampton office.

- To provide line management to the team, including shaping IDPs
- Experience in resource & project management
- Cloud experience such as AWS or Azure
