Due to continued success, a great opportunity is now available to join our Production Control department team as a Material Controller on a permanent basis to ensure on time delivery of all component orders to meet Assembly and Sales requirements.
We are looking for a motivated, computer literate, enthusiastic individual who is numerate with good attention to detail.
You should hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A to C to include English Language and Maths.

Your Annual Leave will start at 23 days pro rata plus bank holidays. At present we have set shut down periods (Summer and Christmas)
Key Tasks:
To release Purchase Orders and expedite component orders, maintaining delivery dates to MRP schedule to support MME’s Assembly and After Sales.
Raise manually generated orders to provide components outside of the MRP control.
Monitor the delivery performance of selected vendors, agree and implement improvements in supplier delivery adherence.
To monitor the progress on supplier deliveries
Attend supplier and department meetings to discuss and agree targets and actions in line with above responsibilities
To identify and report in a timely manner any risks to MME’s continuity of component supply
Support other areas of the Department and Organisation in order to achieve the Company objectives.
General Tasks
Understand the relevant procedures and training manuals for all tasks.
Ensure the accuracy and on time delivery of all tasks.
Support activities to meet departmental objectives.
Hi-light potential issues and assists in any resulting investigations.
Adhere to Makita procedures and support.
Communicate clearly at all times.
Support all improvement and co-operation activities within the department.
Ensure the section is tidy and promote 5S/5W activities.
Take on other reasonable tasks as and when requested by the Departmental Supervisor or Manager.
Ensure compliance with all SOX, ISO9001 and ISO14001 procedures and regulations.
