The role in short
Working with the Head of Marketplaces, the Marketplace Trader role supports the growth and optimisation of our eBay marketplace channel, providing end to end ownership of all categories. To ultimately maximise sales and margin using their visual merchandising, analytical and trading skills. To always put the customer first when understanding the implications of problems and determining the solutions.
You will be a marketplace expert with experience in delivering growth on eBay and other third-party channels. This role would suit someone who has technical experience in trading on eBay and has a passion for driving performance.

Onto the nitty gritty!
· Creating and delivering eBay specific trading strategies with the support of the Head of Marketplaces
· Understand and utilise marketplace data with the creative needs of our brands and products to deliver a strategy that helps drive sales, profit and productivity.
· Ability to read, understand and produce channel performance reports and recommend actions based on this data
· Maintaining channel account selling status, metrics and feedback
· Managing a portfolio of 000’s of products with focus on high converting content, pricing and run rate
· Managing selling prices and automated repricing in line with business requirements
· Planning, executing and managing promotional activity utilising tools and promotional events available to us
· Supporting with Advanced promoted listings campaigns
· Liaising with internal and external teams to maintain relationships
· Continually optimising listings to increase traffic and improve conversion
· Monitoring the market to understand marketplace trends and our share within this by category and subcategory
· Providing market insights and data as required for range reviews and trading meetings
· Responsible for ensuring new products are launched on time and with the right content
· Contribute to the development and implementation of key process and system changes within the business
· Managing the sell through of overstocked and clearance lines with the support of the commercial team
We’d like to meet someone with
· Strong experience of managing marketplaces
· Passionate about selling online
· Proficient using Excel and managing data
· Excellent communication skills
· Able to prioritise regularly and efficiently
· Experience in using multi-channel management platforms (Linnworks would be preferred)
