Role Description
We’re looking for a marketing manager who has experience of taking practical ownership of marketing activity across a growing business. The candidate will be responsible for consolidating current ad hoc marketing activity into a strategic plan and aligning this to developments in our products, services and markets. They will understand the business development needs of our commercial team, creating content, campaigns and other such activities to engage our audience, and generate sales leads. Responsibilities will extend to the creation of externally published product specifications, proposals and other such commercial documentation. The role includes managing external freelancers or agencies when required, but maximising our internal resources where appropriate.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Planning all marketing strategies for new and existing products or services; and for product upsell to existing clients.
- Create quarterly marketing plans based on the business development needs of the business.
- Executing and reporting on the success of 9ine’s marketing strategy.
- Understanding how legal changes across the globe affect the strength of our proposition, and responding to those changes so we can continually demonstrate a first mover advantage.
- Clearly understanding 9ine’s products and services so that you can articulate detailed content plans that get to the heart of solving our client’s problems.
- Conduct daily research on updates relating to our products and services in the news, and developing market trends.
- Develop creative materials, proposal documents and propositions for our target audiences (Independent, International and Government funded Schools) and personas.
- Responsible for client communications regarding developments in the businesses and updates to products and services.
- Management and development of all collateral and resources for events and partnerships
- Manage and deliver 9ine’s attendance at trade shows and partner events. This trade shows in the USA, Europe and Asia.
- Manage and deliver 9ine’s own webinars, in-person events (UK & International) and other external facing activity.
- Manage 9ine’s social media, developing and documenting and ensuring consistency of delivery of a voice and persona of the business across all channels.
- Managing the development of interacting with the design team to ensure there is a strong proposition that is consistent across the business.
- Analysing content and topics for social media plans via platforms such as Twitter and LinkedIn.
- Working with our team to create content such as emails, social media messages, blogs, product descriptions, product videos, and webcasts.
- Develop and maintain analytical reports that provide insight into strategic recommendations for marketing.
Skills and Experience
- Experience working in a marketing role (agency or client)
- Understand the value of a marketing strategy, and how to execute against one
- Comfortable managing brand assets and being the protector of brand identity
- Great writing and proof-reading skills
- Positive and approachable, especially when solving challenges
- Great attention to detail
- Belief that “if it’s going to happen, it’s down to me”
- Proactive – you like to think and suggest rather than wait to be told
- Enthusiastic and good at working as part of a team
