About the team:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to join the Digital and Marketing Team within the Careers & Employability Service. The role supports the wider service to achieve the Graduate Outcomes Strategy vision that ‘All students have the opportunity to gain experiences that enable them to realise their potential, develop their skills and attributes, and to leave Manchester Met with a credible plan for the future'. The Digital and Marketing team's role is to influence, inspire, and inform their stakeholders, by producing, curating, and disseminating engaging, relevant, and student-centred content, within digital spaces and on-campus.
The Marketing Executive is responsible for developing and implementing the marketing and communications strategy for the service, which aims to engage a range of stakeholders in support of positive graduate outcomes. The role will lead on shaping the Careers visual identity, delivering creative campaigns, managing marketing processes within the team, identifying future trends, improving practices and sharing insight on how to effectively engage with our various audiences.
The post holder will work closely with teams within the Careers & Employability Service, including networks both within and external to the University.
About You:
An experienced and creative marketing professional with proven experience of successfully delivering marketing and communication activity, you will have:
- Knowledge of digital marketing, print production, commissioning design, social media, email marketing, copywriting, event management, marketing research and campaign evaluation.
- Experience of using digital systems and data to support campaigns and stakeholder engagement including CRM systems, email clients and marketing platforms.
- Initiative and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be able to manage your time and projects effectively and the ability to deal with a busy and varied workload.
- Experience of working in the Higher Education sector, preferably with an understanding of employability issues and the Graduate Outcomes Survey.

In recognition of staff contributions to the University's achievements during the 2021/2022 academic year, an additional discretionary payment of 2% per annum will be added to your salary until 31/07/23 in order to ensure consistency amongst existing and incoming staff. This additional 2% will be paid pro rata in equal monthly instalments, on top of your salary each month until 31/07/23.
