Are you someone that has a creative flare when it comes to marketing? Do you want a role that grows as you do and allows you to develop yourself the way you want to?
Then we’d love for you to join us as our new Marketing and Business Development Executive.
Working in this brand new team from our head office in central Leamington Spa, you’ll work collaboratively across the marketing and business development departments to continue to delight and excite potential clients and form lasting partnerships.
We continuously seek new innovations to improve our ways of working and as part of your role, you’ll be responsible for increasing our marketing impact to drive leads and sales. You’ll need to be proactive, a self-starter and have strong writing skills bringing fresh ideas on how to improve our marketing. We’d like for you to contribute ideas to the content marketing strategy and help implement content including email campaigns, web pages and blog management - so you’ll also need a level of competence with graphics tools with some flair for design and the ability to work with video editing software and other online apps.
Your role will require you to support and help to improve our website development and performance, as well as create high-quality proposals that make it easy for the client to buy our services and in turn, generate new business. We’d also love for you to support the team with live events and exhibitions by preparing the marketing collateral, liaising with the event organisers and ensuring a smooth running of the day.
One of the main focuses of your role will be to increase our social media footprint, so you’ll need a flair for creativity and graphics and unusually high attention to detail. Our current focus is to increase our key contacts and to design and post engaging content on our LinkedIn page in line with our communication strategy.
You’ll need to be collaborative as you work with the directors to create high-quality, impactful and exciting proposals that wow prospective clients. You’ll also support them by updating the CRM, attending relevant business development meetings and contributing to the thinking of proposals in terms of creativity, layout and content.
This role offers you opportunities for development with access to our award-winning STAR® programme where you will gain a Level 3 Operational CoachingTM qualification within your first 6 months, and an opportunity to gain Level 5 as you get ready to step into management.

Job Description
The following is a list of the types of tasks and expected output from the role. Some of the tasks will need to be completed by yourself and others will require you to engage and collaborate with the Directors and other senior colleagues in the sales and marketing teams.
Growing our Social Media Footprint
To improve our presence on various social media platforms to increase leads and sales, with our current focus being on LinkedIn. Tasks will include:
- Identify key contacts that we should be connected to using Sales Navigator
- Connect the Director to these key contacts
- Create and send thoughtful and interesting direct messages to new contacts
- Design strategies and better ways of working to gain more followers on our Linkedin company page
- Work with the design team to create and post engaging content on the company's LinkedIn page in line with our communication strategy
- Support our Digital Badge strategy to congratulate learners once they have qualified to increase social media awareness of our services
- Leverage and improve our use of other social media to drive engagement and leads
Contributing to Marketing Activities
The following list provides examples of what we do where your input and contribution will be invited. This is not an exhaustive list, and can be built around your interests and expertise:
- Designing, creating and editing short engaging videos for social media
- Contribute ideas to the content marketing strategy and help implement the content created by all team members on various platforms including email campaigns, web pages and blog management
- Support and help to improve our website development and websites performance - this may include uploading and updating content, ensuring the integrity of all the links, clear visitor journeys, strong calls to action, ensuring form captures are set up and functioning, lead magnets generate leads and SEO is optimised
- Contribute ideas for new content for email campaigns and become an expert in segmented campaigns (within Active Campaign)
- Identifying new ways of presenting marketing content and PowerPoint presentations (e.g. for keynote talks, masterclasses and webinars)
- Supporting live events and exhibitions
- Maintaining and creating all the marketing reports, trackers and KPIs, analysing them and making suggestions on how to improve our activities to improve KPI performance
- Continuously seeking new innovations to improve our marketing impact that drives leads and sales
- Work with the marketing manager to gain valuable experience in content marketing
Supporting the Directors to Increase Sales
Working with the design team to create impactful, exciting and visual proposals that wow prospective clients:
- Taking a brief from the Directors to understand the details of the proposal and contribute to the thinking in terms of creativity, layout and content
- Creating high-quality proposals that make it easy for the client to buy our services and that generate new business - these can be delivered in different and innovative ways that can include web pages and brochure formats - and are produced with accuracy, clarity and excellent grammar
- Keeping abreast of new technologies (including web software) to improve proposals both visually and from a process and project management perspective
- Planning the timings and production of the proposals to meet expected timelines
- Attending relevant business development meetings to understand new potential client programmes in order to help craft a better proposal
- Maintaining and keeping up to date with the standard pricing charts used for proposals
Keeping the generic proposals up-to-date and accurate, being proactive in identifying ways to improve them
- Identify better ways of working in relation to using previous proposals for future efficiency
- Work with Mission Control to coordinate the production of case studies from current clients that can contribute to future proposal
- Identify and maintain the selection of the best current clients testimonials for use in proposals and broader marketing campaigns
- Be familiar with and manage the collateral so that it is accessible to be used and repurposed for proposals
- Managing proposal deadlines within the CRM system
- Capture notes and actions during client meetings and add them to the CRM system and the task management system
- Create and manage the ‘opportunities’ within our CRM system and contribute to business development meetings
Where your capacity allows, use your strengths and other key skills to contribute to the overall goals of Notion. A desire to learn is also critical as we’re on a constant learning journey.
