You will partner closely with senior Operations leaders and key partners across Commercial Bank Finance, Business Management and Data & Analytics teams to enable effective end-to-end execution.
As part of the Commercial Banking Finance & Business Management team, the Commercial Bank Finance & Business Management Resource Planning is looking for a strategic, analytical, and energetic professional to support the Wholesale Lending Services organization. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity on our Finance & Business Management team ensuring senior management across the Commercial Bank have visibility into major initiatives, business metrics, financials, and data insights to achieve their strategic objectives. This role will partner closely with senior Operations leaders and key partners across Commercial Bank Finance, Business Management and Data & Analytics teams to enable effective end-to-end execution.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with Wholesale Lending Services and Commercial Bank Finance & Business Management team to budget and forecast headcount and direct expenses
- Participate in the activity based costing process used to allocate expenses across Line Of Businesses and downstream client profitability system
- Partner with Finance to build out loan origination forecasting models, and transfer those results into actionable volume forecasts
- Assist with build out and enhancement of capacity models across Wholesale Lending Ser functions and activities
- Assume responsibility capacity plan deliverables for an organization, partnering with business leaders and finance to model the impact of various business drivers to that organization’s staffing needs
- Define, design and lead high priority strategic initiatives with senior level visibility in areas above
- Analyze large amounts of data to create impactful analysis to assist in developing WLS strategy
- Participate in the budget and planning process, including supporting analytics and forecasting
- Hands-on experience in the use of data to solve complex business problems, leveraging toolsets such as: Qlik Sense, Tableau, SQL
- Conduct monthly capacity plan calls with senior business leaders, participating in hiring decisions and operational planning
- Strong professional presence with the ability to communicate directly with senior stakeholders
- Must be able to interact and influence colleagues at all levels in the business
- Able to collaborate with peer team members across business and staff areas at all levels and achieve goals without direct control over all resources
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-7+ years of relevant experience in banking
- Strong presentation skills and ability to tell the story on initiatives
- Ability to work collaboratively; develop strong partnership with multiple levels of employees
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and produce successful results in a fast paced environment
- Ability to interpret and present complex data
- Hands-on experience in the use of data to solve complex business problems, leveraging toolsets such as: Alteryx, Tableau, SQL
- Ability to develop strong, positive relationships with business stakeholders
- Mature, independent, highly organized, self-motivated and a team player
- Strong Excel skills
- Statistics/KPI experience preferred
