Job description
- Deliver tactical marketing campaigns and promotional activity working across the full range of marketing media to support the objectives of the organisation.
- Develop tailored social and e-newsletter content to support the Visitor Marketing Manager with the implementation of campaigns, designed to increase visitor numbers and income related to sites and events.
- Work with partners, such as Destination Management Organisations, across the country on any marketing initiatives delivering mutual benefits.
- To work and network with partners such as Event Scotland, Visit Scotland, and other tourism operators to the benefit of HES.
- To handle day-to-day liaison with our external marketing agencies, including creative and media, who support our campaigns. This includes developing reports on campaigns and informing relevant teams on outcomes, insights, and key learnings.
- Working with design and print agencies to develop collateral for new visitor products with the engagement of key stakeholders.
- Create and deliver innovative digital content across our visitor-facing social media channels, including our Edinburgh Castle and Stirling Castle channels.
- Development of the HS app- this includes updating site listings as well as working with the developer to enhance the visitor experience.
- Advise teams across the organisation on where marketing can support and advise appropriate marketing media to deliver on objectives.
- Provide marketing support on a regional basis to our sites and colleagues.
- Work with the full marketing team to promote further commercial activity and products that drive income.
Person specification
Essential requirements:
- Proven marketing experience
- Experience in developing and implementing marketing campaigns and the production of marketing materials
- Experience of managing contracted agencies to deliver targeted campaigns
- Experience of working with e-CRM systems
- Experience of working with social media channels
- Experience of working on multimedia campaigns, including both online and offline media
- Demonstrated experience of working with multiple teams and prioritising projects and requests simultaneously
- Flexible approach to working
