Job description
The Marketing Executive is responsible for end-to-end campaign delivery, ensuring that we deliver highly impactful campaigns in an integrated, timely, and effective manner.
Main ResponsibilitiesCampaign Delivery
- Responsible for developing campaign briefs for deliverables in the Marketing Plan.
- Also contributes to the creation of more complex campaign briefs (led by Marketing Managers) to deliver against strategic objectives (consumption, perception, brand) across multiple media and platforms.
- Review and assessment of creative response to brief.
- Review of media plan for campaigns, and assesses suitability against campaign brief.
- Leads the delivery of all creative assets in response to the campaign brief, and take responsibility for overall delivery.
- Responsible for events/partnership delivery (where appropriate within the marketing mix).
- Responsible for the necessary compliance of all marketing and communications activity, following BBC Editorial Guidelines.
Strategy and Planning
- Understands the Strategic Planning process, and execute activities within the Marketing Plan for specific campaigns.
- Collaborates with Audience team to identify audience insight to inform respective creative briefs.
- Contributes to regular campaign evaluations with colleagues; feeds back results to stakeholders of core campaign output; and applies learnings to future campaigns.
- Manage and mitigate risks and issues, escalating to Marketing Manager as appropriate.
Leadership, Relationships and Development
- Task manage the Marketing Co-ordinator(s), to ensure effective campaign delivery.
- Establish great working relationships with Audiences, Social media, Communications, Creative and Media teams.
- Aware of developments in the field of marketing and technology/digital trends, maintains links with the industry and incorporates into marketing plans where possible.
General

The Marketing Executive is expected to have acquired some marketing experience specifically within the media industry or an industry with similar scale and complexity.
The role requires knowledge and experience of:
- Delivering multi-media marketing campaigns from brief to evaluation.
- Working with creative and media teams (either in-house, or external agency)
- Project management, and efficient use of resources.
- Leading collaboration across organisational boundaries.
- Managing critical stakeholder relationships.
- Analytical approach, able to critically evaluate ideas and information.
- Effective written and spoken communication with good presentation skills.
- Able to adapt and make improvements to working practices.
- Able to manage and lead campaigns and teams within a complex matrix environment.
- Ability to meet and set targets and deadlines while managing a wide range of concurrent activities.
Desirable
- Understanding of editorial and other compliance policies.
- Understanding and knowledge of the broadcasting industry and an interest in creative output.
