At Empty Cup we focus on end-to-end production, roasting, packaging and brewing our coffee beans in house, for sale in our four (and growing) cafe locations, as well as distribution throughout Canada. Currently we have a strong focus on the RTD sector of Cold Brew Coffee, and plan to continue our growth as a company further into this market. Along with our Cold Brew drinks, we sell our beans in a variety of packaging forms for both direct-to-consumer, and business-to-business sales.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and energetic Marketing Coordinator to support our team in implementing our strategic marketing initiatives. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for creating and publishing social media and marketing content, coordinating print and merchandise projects, assisting with website management, supporting event coordination, and assisting with other various marketing activities. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively will contribute to the overall success of the Marketing Coordinator.
A Day in the Life:
- Work with the Marketing Leader in developing and managing a monthly content calendar
- Create content (i.e. copywriting, photography, layout design, reels creation, etc.) to be used for social media, in-store signage, digital campaigns, emails, website, etc.
- Using social media management tools for content scheduling (Sprout)
- Posting daily organic social media content
- Community management and engagement through social media
- Assist in coordinating merchandise, signage and other print orders and designs
- Assist in coordinate packaging orders and designs
- Manage daily website updates
- Assist in coordinating marketing campaigns
- Assist in coordinating various events and sponsorship assets
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in marketing or creative communications, or equivalent experience
- Professional marketing and social media experience is considered an asset
- Photography and videography experience is considered an asset
- Experience and understanding of Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience using social media platforms such as: Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, and Pinterest
- Experience with Square is considered an asset
- Class 5 Driver’s License (some driving required)

Empty Cup is a small start-up, with that being the case we all wear multiple hats sometimes. There are opportunities to hop around and help out where needed! Occasional weekend/evening availability for event support.
