Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. The primary focus of this role will be event and tradeshow management, with approximately 50-60% of the coordinator's time dedicated to planning, coordinating, and executing successful events and tradeshows. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in marketing, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Marketing Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Event Planning and Execution:
- Develop, plan, and execute a wide range of events and tradeshows, both virtual and physical, that align with the company's marketing objectives.
- Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, budgeting, contract negotiations, and equipment rentals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define event objectives, target audience, and messaging.
- Create event timelines, task lists, and production schedules to ensure seamless execution.
- Oversee event setup, registration, and on-site management to ensure a positive attendee experience.
- Manage post-event evaluations and analysis to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Tradeshow Management:
- Research, identify, and secure participation in industry-specific tradeshows and exhibitions that align with the company's marketing goals.
- Coordinate booth design, signage, promotional materials, and other collateral for tradeshows.
- Manage pre-show and post-show marketing activities, including email campaigns, social media promotions, and lead follow-up strategies.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and track leads generated from tradeshows.
- Maintain and update the tradeshow calendar, budget, and expenses.
- Marketing Support:
- Assist in the lead management and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including email marketing, social media, content creation, and website updates.
- Assist with custom product request and print room, managing mock-up creation and artwork and collaborating with operation and customer service on execution.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Assist product manager with product lifecycle and other product management tactical tasks.
- Assist content manager with content asset management.
Marketing Specialist Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2-3 years) in event management, preferably in a B2B marketing environment.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in using event management and marketing automation tools.
- Knowledge of marketing principles and best practices, particularly in event and tradeshow management.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results.
