Are you a dynamic Administrator looking to take the next step in your career?
Within this role, you will join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks - Southwest Water team and we will teach you everything you need to know to become an efficient and effective planner. You will support by planning the field-based team's daily work, dealing with priority reactive water maintenance assigned by Southwest Water.
Our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team aims to bring the built environment to life, keeping people and businesses connected. In this role, you will be working on our South West Water contract, where we work on repairs and maintenance services to provide reliable, efficient, and high-quality drinking water and wastewater services.
In this office-based role of Planning Administrator, you will play a vital part in planning and coordinating urgent reactive works, such as arranging the deployment of teams to assist in water leakage repairs. You will support our on-site teams and supervisors in our depots covering the Cornwall and Devon region. You will also be responsible for the day-to-day planning of teams in the area, including arranging streetworks permits, road closures, traffic management and planning the team’s use of specialised equipment.
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 dependant on experience
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Area Planners – receiving jobs, details and sanity checking the information for the planning teams.
- Maintaining the systems and databases and always ensuring the accuracy of records
- Assisting with the scheduling and coordinating of planned and reactive work for the teams
What do we need from you?
- Excellent IT skills – proficient in Microsoft Office packages
- Be highly organised and able to prioritize and schedule tasks efficiently
- Enjoy picking up the phone, and working in a busy and fast-paced environment
- If you don’t have experience in a similar role, we’ll train you on the rest!
