We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Marketing Manager, B2B Planning & Effectiveness.
This role is part of the Global B2B Marketing team and is focused on supporting the strategic and revenue growth priorities of two global businesses: Commercial Banking (CMB) and Global Banking & Markets (GBM). These two business lines manage relationships with businesses ranging from small start-ups to some of the world’s largest and most complex multi-nationals. We focus on understanding present and future customer needs and the identification, development and execution of marketing strategies, campaigns and activities that support and strengthen the HSBC brand, support the drive for revenue and increase customer value and satisfaction in order to meet agreed targets and objectives at both a global and market level.
The overall responsibilities of the Marketing Manager B2B Planning & Effectiveness is to provide global support to B2B Marketing teams on planning and strategic priorities.
- Work with the Chief Commercial Office and Finance teams (both Commercial Banking [CMB] and Global Banking & Markets [GBM]) to ensure effective financial controls and systems are in place to manage all marketing expenditure for the Global B2B marketing teams. This will include having robust systems and processes for recording marketing plans, budgets, expenditure requests, approvals, invoices, reconciliations, accruals, etc.
- Work with the team to maintain clear and accurate record for all Global B2B Marketing expenditure, including latest estimates and forecasts.
- Day to day operational management of the Global B2B Marketing budget including implementation of effective control of Marketing expenditure.
- Ensure the Global B2B Marketing team adheres to the 3 Step Marketing Process and provides timely updates as requested
- Analyse future strategic initiative feasibility and prioritisation, including relevant business case preparation, demand management and resource allocation
To be successful in this role you should meet the following:
- Proven experience of budget / financial management, ideally within a Financial Services or business to business services based institution
- An articulate and strong communicator, and the ability to articulate complex issues concisely in simple language
- Strong planning and analytical skills with an expert-level understanding of MS Excel
- Able to work at pace with limited information with proven ability to work on multi-function projects demonstrating excellent relationship building skills
- Be a self-starter with energy, drive and the commitment to putting the customer at the heart of all development and implementation activities
The base location for this role is either Birmingham or London
