The Department of eHealth within NHS Grampian are offering an exciting opportunity to join the IT Service Desk as a Junior IT Service Desk Analyst at a time of change which will see the team move to providing a 24/7/365 support service. We are looking to recruit proactive and enthusiastic IT professionals with a passion to deliver a high standard of service to NHS Grampian staff and partners through the Service Desk.
The IT Service Desk is responsible for providing first line IT support, user access management and request fulfilment to over 17,000 staff across NHS Grampian. You will be required to work both as part of the team and as an individual. You must also communicate and support users at all levels within the organisation, including members of the wider eHealth team and third-party support vendors.
The successful applicants will join a busy IT Service Desk team who are responsible for responding to and where possible resolving incidents and service requests received by telephone and using our customer portal. The Service Desk is a very busy and fast paced environment which provides an excellent supportive environment to develop IT skills.
The postholder must be in a position to work as part of a roster that provides 24/7/365 support. Example shifts that are currently being developed include 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am, but this will be covered in more detail during the interview process.
These posts are permanent full-time posts (37.5 hours per week), based at the Foresterhill Health Campus, Aberdeen. There may be opportunities to hybrid work, but specific shifts will be mandatory to work from the base location (evenings, overnight and weekends).
Successful candidates will be fully supported by experienced team members through an induction training programme which will continue through performing skills and training analysis.
