We’re searching for an experienced marketing manager to focus on our digital marketing efforts and creative content development in innovative and fresh ways.

The successful candidate will oversee all marketing comms and programs, implementing a marketing plan that supports our organisational strategy. This will include:

  • Creating engaging marketing campaigns to impact change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with digital marketing and a sound understanding of using social media for business purposes, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media

  • A drive to seek new opportunities and to meet or exceed targets
  • An organised multi-tasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation
  • Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success
  • Provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends
  • Digital marketing strategy, management and reporting – includes Google Analytics and online sales
  • Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, competitive landscape, and prepare reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising data
  • Evaluating and establishing the charity’s marketing plan and strategy by assembling and analysing sales forecasts, setting objectives, planning and organising promotional presentations, and updating calendars
  • Assist on partner activity, including the implementation of campaign objectives, timelines, collateral and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes
  • Continually seek and research new sources of prospective customer data, and provide recommendations to senior management and assist with identifying marketing and branding opportunities
  • Web traffic: Oversight, analytics and troubleshooting with a focus on increasing web traffic and resolving issues proactively
  • Email newsletter: Lead on all monthly and bi-monthly newsletter activity
  • Referrals: Working with new and existing partners to build the volume and quality of websites referring traffic to Ditch the Label – this includes maintaining features; ensuring the information is kept up to date
  • Working with other colleagues and supporting them in their roles with data, analysis and various other insights relating to website traffic, user activity and feedback received across social media

ESSENTIAL

  • At least five years of experience in marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications preferred (however, we will consider other degrees / education for candidates with solid marketing comms experience)
  • Past work experience as a marketing manager or similar role
  • Experienced in running and analysing digital marketing campaigns
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with Pay Per Click Advertising (‘PPC’)
  • Experience working with Search Engine Optimisation (‘SEO’)

DESIRABLE

  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools
  • Working knowledge of HTML and design and email software
  • Experience working with budgets and forecasting
  • Will ideally have knowledge of web design, social media, content creation, digital collateral and email marketing
  • Tech savvy and ideally able to support the maintenance and development of internal tools and/or software such as CRM
  • Experience with research using data analytics software
