Role: Content/Email Marketing Manager
- Function: Creative – Email Marketing – Creator Management
- Responsibility: Drive customer growth via ad creatives & emails
- Location: Remote
- Compensation: $20-30K
- Working hours: Full-time position (8 hours/day, 6 days a week)

We’re looking for an growth-focused talented A-player with a strong focus on Creative (Script Writing & Submitting briefs), Email Marketing via Klaviyo and maintaining/expanding on Creator Relations.
This is a unique opportunity to join us at a stage of growth. We are just in the middle of re-branding and we are growing and will be scaling hard into 2024.

About us
Founded by Josef and Dejan in 2020, BALANZI started in a bedroom in Birmingham when Josef (originally from Denmark) pitched Dejan on the idea of starting a men’s jewellery brand under COVID-19.
Dejan, who was sitting in his living room across the world in North Macedonia was sold after hours back and forth on a Zoom call and BALANZI was born.
Since 2020, we have sold over 100,000+ pieces of jewellery to customers across the world.
For a long-time the company was stuck as we weren’t sure how to take the brand to the next level and after much thought and consideration we have completely worked the company from A-Z.
Since Q1 2023, we have been focused on building new products, separating two acquisition channels and re-branding BALANZI after a much needed rebrand to differentiate and position ourselves in the market space.
As of writing this, we are now entering a growth phase and it’s time to get an A-player on board who is aligned with our vision and core values to unlock a new stage of growth.
Main responsibilities:
1. Creative Strategy
- Develop and execute creative strategies aligned with the brand’s vision, targeted audience and marketing objectives
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for brand differentiation.
- Submit requests to our editing team for video editing and graphics.
- Review and approve the content delivered by the editing team or request revisions as needed
- Ensure that the final content aligns with our brand’s visual identity and quality standards
- Monitor and analyze the performance of our creative campaigns, working closely with the media buying team to iterate and improve based on data-driven insights.

2. Email Marketing
- Develop and execute comprehensive email marketing strategies to drive customer engagement, retention and conversion.
- Directing our design team to develop visually appealing email templates and ensure brand consistency (no design experience required)
- Conduct tests and experiments to improve the performance of email campaigns, such as trying different subject lines or layouts.
- Monitor deliverability, open rates, click-through rates and unsubscribe rates to maintain a healthy email list and improve engagement.
- Plan and create personalized email campaigns, including promotional offers and product updates
- Segment customer database and create targeted email lists based on customer behavior, preferences and demographics
3. Creator Relations
- Sourcing talented creators who align with the brand's image and target audience
- Develop and maintain relationships with creators, negotiate contracts and manage partnerships effectively.
- Provide clear and concise briefs to creators, ensuring they understand the brand’s objectives, messaging and style guidelines.
- Review and approve the creator’s content to ensure it meets brand standards
- Maintain a database of creators and track their performance

3 months in
In the first three months, you’ll undergo a comprehensive onboarding process to familiarize yourself with our brand, products and company culture.
You'll dive deep into our brand's objectives, understanding the core values and vision that drive our success. You'll collaborate closely with the team, gaining insights into our current strategies, campaigns, and goals.
By the end of this period, you'll have a solid understanding of our brand's voice, target audience, and the key drivers behind our growth.
6 months in
At the six-month mark, your role may expand to adapt to the changing needs of our growing business.
Depending on where our focus is needed the most, you could take on additional responsibilities and contribute to various areas. This flexibility allows you to continue utilizing your skills and expertise while also embracing new challenges and making a versatile impact across different aspects of our operations.
12 months in
By the time you reach the twelve-month mark, you will have experienced significant growth and become an indispensable member of our team.
Your role will have expanded beyond its initial scope, allowing you to take on additional responsibilities and contribute to various areas of our business. Whether it's leading important projects, mentoring fellow team members, or introducing innovative ideas, your expertise and leadership will have a profound impact on our brand's development.

About you
- You’re always active - we expect you to be active on Slack and respond to messages as we like move fast and speed is key with everything we do.
- You’re super proactive - we don’t want to tell you everything. You need to be able to think, look for solutions and work towards any goal we set for you. If a project is assigned, we expect you to take control and charge. You not a robot.
- You got killer communication - if we are not being realistic with deadlines, goals or there is something you don’t know, we need you to communicate to us so we can fix inefficiencies and work better togehter as a joint team.
- You never say “no” - everything is doable if you put your mind to it. If you say something is not possible, you instantly not a fit for the team and the attitude will drag down rest of the team.

Prior experience / skills
- You need at least 1+ year of experience dealing with writing scripts and submitting briefs to editing teams
- No prior experience dealing with creators and email marketing is not required, but it will drag down your overall application
- Prior experience at agency or working for a brand at 7-8 figures is ideal
- Strong base of knowlegde within the Shopify and the eCommerce world. If you do not know about UGC ads, how to read an ad account or what the core email flows are then this role might not be suited for you
- We don’t expect you to know everything from day 1, but you need a well-rounded base for the role for us to consinder your application
