It's a very exciting time to join the newly formed Value team to work on a core area of focus for Deliveroo. As a team, we look to provide the best value for our customers across all touch points to deliver strong business outcomes. We're looking for a Marketing Associate who will be responsible for building and executing our always-on Value campaigns and our core seasonal moments like Black Friday. This role reports to the Value Marketing Lead, UK&I and is based in London.

A successful candidate will be a self-starter, and a strong cross-functional worker able to lead teams to develop strong campaigns. You'll have a passion for thinking about customer value and have a natural ability to think strategically to solve business problems. You'll be confident working with customer data & insight to build marketing campaigns and have a knowledge and understanding of the marketing channel mix. You'll be a highly organised self-starter with a growth mindset and strong influencing skills, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and able to 'think big' while paying careful attention to detail.

The Role

  • This role will report to the Value Lead as part of the Value team.
  • You'll lead our always-on value-led marketing campaigns, working closely with restaurant marketing and commercial teams to grow and optimise these programs. You'll help feed into which levers should be pulled to deliver a best-in-class promotional strategy to deliver against our ambitious growth targets.
  • You'll also support in project management of seasonal promotions and targeted promotions, and deliver post-campaign analysis to inform and optimise future activations.
  • You'll support the Value Lead in managing key stakeholder relationships across marketing channels, commercial teams, finance and legal.
  • You'll have ears to the ground on competitor promotions in the market


Responsibilities

Internal Stakeholder Management:

  • Management of quarterly restaurant-funded promotional communication, working closely with commercial and marketing teams to ensure strong restaurant participation.
  • Communicate weekly on tracking vs targets to commercial leadership to ensure strong participation in campaigns.
  • Lead working group of representatives from commercial teams including regional, national accounts and new restaurants.

Ownership of Always-on promotions:

  • Lead creative development and asset creation, working with our internal studio team & external agencies where appropriate.
  • Weekly execution of always-on campaigns inc working directly with restaurant marketing teams and commercial teams
  • Feed into long term strategy for always-on promotions to ensure we are continuously improving
  • Partner with the broader Value team on ways to expand the impact of promotions including product enhancements and new channels.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Perform monthly reporting of always-on campaigns to ensure long term optimisations and growth
  • Deliver post campaign analysis on one off and seasonal promotions
  • Maintain a competitor value tracker, partnering with CRM team to understand competitor promotional messages

Project Management:

  • Seasonal campaigns: Lead execution of promotionally led seasonal campaigns, collaborating with our other marketing team partners, internal studio, commercial teams and internal channels on execution

What You Will Need

  • 2+ years in marketing with experience in growth-driving promotional activities a plus
  • A creative problem solver who can think things through analytically
  • Solid understanding of data and how to draw conclusions
  • Proven track record in making things happen - delivering results quickly and efficiently
  • A self-starter attitude that's comfortable with constant change and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude, full of great ideas and able to get stuff done autonomously.
  • Great communication skills with a passion for building strong relationships - proven experience communicating with internal and external teams.
