Continuing education is currently one of the most exciting, prominent and fastest changing fields in global higher education. The University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) is an established leader in the field, tracing its roots back to 1873.

The Institute delivers high quality and distinctive educational programmes for adult learners, predominantly studying on a part-time basis, for either personal enrichment or professional development. For many students the Institute acts as an initial gateway to higher education and onwards progression to further study. We aim to ensure that the expertise and resources of the University of Cambridge are made available to all students, irrespective of their previous educational achievements. To support the Institute's 2021-25 strategy and our growth plans, we wish to appoint a Marketing Assistant. The Assistant will work as part of the Marketing team and have responsibility for supporting marketing activities to achieve the Institute's strategic goals.

The role-holder will support initiatives in the Institute's marketing plan, including organising recruitment events, implementing targeted campaigns using digital and traditional channels to meet student recruitment targets, and producing marketing content for a range of channels, including publications, articles and videos. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a customer-facing target-driven sales or marketing environment. The candidate will have basic knowledge of digital technologies such as social media, live chat, SMS, email, search engine optimisation, CRM systems and have previous involvement in organising promotional or student recruitment events.

Excellent written, verbal communication and IT skills and the ability to prioritise workload and manage a number of tasks effectively are all essential to succeed in this role.

This role is available on a hybrid basis with the flexibility to work remotely and in our offices in Madingley, Cambridge.
