We are currently seeking a Punjabi-speaking carer/housekeeper to provide support to an elderly couple in their daily activities. This part-time position requires 4 hours of work per day, six days a week, offering flexibility and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in someone's life.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the elderly couple with cooking traditional Punjabi meals, ensuring their dietary preferences and restrictions are accommodated.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment by carrying out household chores, including cleaning, laundry, and general tidying.
  • Provide bathing and personal care assistance, prioritizing their safety and comfort.
  • Engage in friendly conversation, companionship, and emotional support, promoting a positive and nurturing environment.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Punjabi is essential, as the elderly couple primarily communicates in Punjabi.
  • Experience in Punjabi cooking, able to prepare a variety of authentic Punjabi dishes.
  • Previous experience in caregiving, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred.
  • Empathy, patience, and respect for the elderly, understanding their unique needs and preferences.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to efficiently complete tasks.
  • Reliable and punctual, able to commit to the designated schedule.
