Marketing Assistant - eCommerce
Salary: £23,000 - 25,000 - depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm
Location: Chippenham/Bristol - Hybrid
Exciting opportunity to join a fast growing eCommerce business with a supportive and encouraging team culture. Our Marketing Team is growing and we're looking for someone with a passion for digital marketing who is keen to get involved with a wide range of digital marketing. Ideal role for a recent graduate of a marketing qualification or someone with a bit of experience in marketing that wants to join an innovative eCommerce company.
How you will contribute and make the role a success:
As our Marketing Assistant you will be joining a team of passionate marketers in a department that is involved in lots of different projects across the business. You will take ownership of several marketing channels, with a real focus on email marketing and influencer management. Your manager and team will offer lots of support and training to gradually begin taking ownership of these channels, as well as offering more formal training opportunities for you to become an expert in these areas. This is a great opportunity to develop these skills and learn from the best!
Marketing Assistant Responsibilities:
- Email Marketing: planning, designing and sending email campaigns to our subscribers. Using segmenting tools to send to relevant audiences to increase engagement. Managing and reporting on automated flow series like welcome emails and product cross-sells, as well as creating new ones. You will be responsible for owning our relationship with different email marketing tools so speaking to account managers regularly to get ideas and make the most of the tool.
- Influencer Campaigns: we've got a great relationship with our influencers which you will continue to nurture, but also identifying and review potential new partnerships. Seeing the campaign through from start to finish, working with our influencers to get great content and reporting back on how effective it was.
- SMS Marketing: a new area for us that we're beginning to explore, you'll be spear-heading this project to ensure our SMS messaging aligns with wider marketing plans.
- Website Listings: getting new products live and ready to buy on our website and making sure they look amazing!
- Banners and Asset Creation: supporting the team with designing banners for our website, ads and other content.
- Staff Comms: you'll be responsible for our monthly staff newsletter to make it informative and engaging. You'll also be everyone's favourite person because you'll manage regular staff product giveaways on our company WhatsApp group.
- Promotions Planning: Keeping our promotional calendar up to date and communicating with teamsacross the business.
- Content Creation: creating awesome photo and video content in our studio in Chippenham a few times per month.
- Misc Marketing Tasks: you'll be part of a medium size marketing team so there's opportunity to work with different people on various projects. One week you could be writing blogs with Alice, reporting on our paid ads with Liam, creating social content with Aemilia, running brand projects with Hattie, planning CRO projects with Paul, designing new products with Laura or joining supplier meetings with Kayla. We'll keep it varied, interesting and fun.
Requirements:
- Design: you have an eye for good design to ensure all of our content is on brand, consistent and looks great
- Communication: great communicator for dealing with internal teams and influencers, followers and customers
- Analytical: you like digging into data to see results to be able to report on effectiveness of our marketing
- Project Management: you're extremely organised, can manage your own time effectively to prioritise your work
- Team Work: you're easy to work with and create strong relationships with your team and the wider company - you get along with lots of different people and can adapt easily
- Creative: a key part of your role is creating useful and inspirational content for our followers/subscribers - you'll need to be creative and able to come up with lots of ideas to try
- Marketing Experience: you have a good understanding of digital marketing channels and tools, either through education or some experience in a similar role
- Software: confident using Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word

As this is a junior position we will encourage this role to come to the office up to 2 days per week to spend time with other team members and learn from everyone. We'll make sure that time spent in the office is worthwhile for your development.
