Sovah Health, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Market Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to provide strategic leadership and oversight for the nursing services at our two campuses located in Danville and Martinsville, Virginia. As the Market CNO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and the maintenance of high nursing standards across multiple facilities. This position will be primarily based out of Danville, Virginia.

Sovah Health - Danville is a well-established 250-bed academic community hospital with a rich history of serving the community for over 120 years. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and staffed by a dedicated team of professionals, our hospital is recognized as the region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center. With comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour emergency care, advanced wound healing center, cardiac rehabilitation center, and much more, Sovah Health - Danville is committed to providing top-quality healthcare to our patients.

As the Market CNO, you will have ultimate administrative responsibility for nursing standards and practice across our Market. You will ensure the continuous delivery of timely nursing services, adherence to nursing standards and policies, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Collaborating with hospital leaders, you will design and provide patient care and services, ensuring the availability of qualified nursing staff. In addition, you will actively participate in hospital leadership functions and oversee nursing Performance Improvement activities. Your expertise in budget management will be essential as you develop, present, and manage the budget for nursing services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement an overall nursing plan aligned with hospital policies and objectives
• Establish and interpret nursing and patient care policies, objectives, and standards for maintaining quality nursing care
• Administer and control the nursing services budget
• Organize, direct, and supervise daily nursing services to ensure adequate coverage and quality care
• Recruit, evaluate, and hire qualified personnel to meet patient needs
• Participate in the development and maintenance of the hospital's quality assurance and improvement program
• Collaborate with medical and administrative staff through regular meetings and committee involvement
• Plan and implement orientation and educational programs for staff training and development
• Recommend and contribute to the development of new patient care programs

Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensed Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Master's Degree (MSN or MHA) required
• 3-5 years of experience as a CNO in an investor-owned healthcare organization
• Prior experience in Joint Commission preparation and survey process
