Job description
Job Purpose: Experienced soft landscaper to work in a team of landscapers carrying out soft works throughout North-West England.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Landscape construction – soft landscape
· Good plant knowledge
· Soft landscaping construction work including – planting of trees, shrubs, beds and borders; seeding, turfing, practical gardening tasks, pest and disease control, weed control.
· Setting out work
· Lead person in team to instruct 2ndperson in team
· Communicate with Landscape Manager and other Jacques staff to ensure that information relating to jobs is transferred
· Communicate with key client staff and external contractors where necessary.
· Foster client relationships and develop a culture of trust and respect
· Maintain a positive and professional approach
· Ensure company compliance with statutory regulations including H & S regulations
· Use own initiative to satisfy client contracted needs
· Attempt to solve problems in a safe manner and escalate any necessary issue to the Line Manager
· Previous experience essential in soft landscaping
· Communication skills dealing with colleagues and customers
· Customer Focus
· Health and Safety knowledge essential and qualifications an advantage
· Full clean driving licence essential
